Yasser Ad-Dab'bagh is Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Ottawa and a Child Psychiatrist in Dual Diagnosis Service, Mental Health Patient Service at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO). The Dual Diagnosis Service specializes in the treatment of children and adolescents with highly complex clinical presentations that complicate either intellectual disability (ID) or pervasive developmental disorders (PDD, also referred to as autistic spectrum disorders, ASD). The service has developed a special area of expertise within Dual Diagnosis: the management of very severe, high frequency self-injurious behaviours.
